Mountain House

The dorm was simple, but the bed was comfy and I stayed really warm overnight. There were extra blankets in the room if needed, and the whole place was super clean. Check-in directions were clear and easy to follow, and the kitchen was tidy and had everything I needed. The dorm room itself didn't have a key, so I kept my valuables with me or in my car overnight. The building was locked and secure, though, which was great. I'd stay again and recommend it to friends visiting Arthur's Pass.

The house was very clean and tidy, with a large kitchen and a cozy living room upstairs. The location is convenient if you're travelling by bus, and the area's only two restaurants are nearby.

I slept very well all night. The room and shared areas were clean and warm, and Tash, the manager, was friendly and helpful. The bus stop and shop are very close by.

The sheets had blood stains. It's the only hostel, so they can do whatever they like, with no hospitality at all. Check-in is at 14:00, but at 12:15 I wasn't allowed to put my yogurt in the fridge. Check-out is at 10:00, and although the road was closed because of an event, I still wasn't allowed to stay at 11:15. Oddly, they let strangers who weren't guests use the bathroom and cook in the kitchen.
