We were warm and comfortable in the studio-style room, with two queen beds, a kitchenette, and a separate bathroom. It's luxury accommodation in serviced apartment style, with free onsite car parking and a separate shared laundry room. Surprisingly quiet for being one street off a Main Street area.

Parking was great, and the rooms were lovely. Arluxia is in a peaceful, central spot, so we had a lovely stay.

This place is basically a motel with no services or facilities, and the format and standard are much the same as motels built in the 70s or 80s, even though this is a modern version. It's quite overpriced for that, and calling it a hotel is an exaggeration. The location matters to me and is good, but it can be misleading: it's on a street behind the main area, so you have to walk all the way around the block to reach the Main Street.

There was a mix-up with check-in, but they sorted it out straight away. The rooms were really nice, and you can easily walk into the city centre.

We'd definitely stay at Arluxia again. The place was clean and comfortable, in a fantastic area that was convenient, quiet, and close to everything we needed. Our original hotel had unexpectedly closed without notifying us, leaving us scrambling for last-minute accommodation when we arrived in Auckland. From our first contact, the team at Arluxia gave us outstanding help in a stressful situation. We're very grateful and highly recommend it as a welcoming, reliable place for a short trip or longer stay.
