Auckland Harbour Suites

We had a good three-night stay in a two-bedroom apartment, with friendly and helpful front desk staff. It was good value and in a handy spot, within walking distance of the waterfront and the museum. The washer and dryer were in the bathroom. WiFi didn’t work at all, and it’s a shame parking wasn’t included, at $45 for 24 hours.

The hotel is old, but it was clean and in an excellent location. We only stayed for one night, though the junior suite’s equipment would matter a lot on a longer visit: it had a washer and dryer, iron, hairdryer, and all the kitchen essentials.

The staff went out of their way throughout my six-night stay to make things comfortable, and the location and view were both excellent. The bedroom was nice too. The bathroom and kitchenette, though, were very small. If the kitchen and bathroom had matched the Oaks standard I’ve seen at Australian properties, it would have been perfect.

I was surprised by how good the place was after choosing it mainly for the central location. The room was comfortable and set up well for a longer stay, with a washing machine, dryer, oven, and mini dishwasher. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. I’d definitely book here again if I returned to Auckland.
