This was one of our favourite stops on our trip around the lower North Island. The house and garden were beautifully kept, the hosts were lovely, the view was fabulous, and Taupo town was nearby. We’d definitely stay again.

The place was a real highlight of our New Zealand road trip, and I wish we could have stayed longer, but we already had plans for the next few days. From the charming property and lovely garden to the fantastic views over the lake, the location was wonderful. The apartment was very large and beautifully furnished, with everything we needed and more. Getting the key from a box was no problem for us, and we were even allowed to use the owners’ hot tub. That was fantastic after a long hike. Simply perfect accommodation!
