The building could use some renovation, but I love its high ceilings and vintage style, and the location is great. Lee Hoang, our building manager, is hospitable and professional, and responds to requests quickly. The bond refund was processed really fast too. Four stars for the place, five for Lee. Keep it up.

I’ve been living here for 10 months, and it’s one of the best places to be. The classic ceilings, wooden carvings and city views never get old. Aotea Station is being built next to the building now. When it opens in 2023, this will probably be one of the best places to live in Auckland.

I booked an apartment viewing and waited about 20 minutes for the manager at the office. When I went to the apartment entrance, the manager apologized and said it was already booked. They wasted my time, and I found the manager unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend going there.

The building itself is gorgeous, so it’s a shame it isn’t getting the care it deserves. There’s trash in the hallways, and I can’t tell whether management isn’t cleaning it up or the tenants are behaving badly.

The bathrooms really need updating. The building itself is a nice old one, though the hotel feels old-fashioned. It’s quite expensive, and staff could be more helpful. Guest services like handling mail can be hit or miss.
