We spent two nights here with the family and had no problems. There was a designated parking spot, so no stress about losing a park. The rooms were spacious, with a great shower and a big TV for the kids, including all the Sky channels. Sylvia Park mall and the smaller shops nearby made the location handy. I’m not sure why it’s rated 3 stars. I’d give it at least 4 and would recommend staying here.
Management was wonderful about letting us check in early and accommodating one extra child in a room listed for two. We brought our own airbed. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and it was just $13 by Uber to Go Media Stadium. There are heaps of food options up the road, including pizza, Indian, Subway, burgers and Countdown supermarket. ❤️❤️❤️
Sylvia Park Motel was quiet and cozy, and felt like good value. The staff were really friendly and helpful, which made me comfortable during my stay. My room was clean, spacious and had everything I needed. It’s handy for Sylvia Park Shopping Centre and public transport too. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Auckland.
The room itself was nice, but the shower pressure was poor and there was only one soap for a two-bedroom unit. In winter, there wasn’t even an electric blanket, something I’ve found at every other motel I’ve stayed in. The kids didn’t even get a hot chocolate.
Unit 12 was quiet, clean and had comfy beds, plus the shower pressure was great. There’s a free washing machine and drying racks, or you can use the dryer at the laundromat down the road. Sylvia Park shopping Centre is close, and it’s easy to get to the motorway. We also enjoyed the walks around Panmure Basin and up Maungarei..Mt Wellington. I’ll definitely stay here again 🎉
