For what we paid, this place wasn’t worth it. The apartment was tiny and hard for two people to fit into, and the website said parking was available when there was none. We had to use Wilson’s parking, which costs at least $35 per day. I picked it specifically because it had a sauna, but access to the sauna and pool was locked after 8 pm. We wanted to unwind there one evening after a long, busy day, so that was really disappointing. The pictures also made the place look bigger and nicer than it is. On the plus side, it was clean and central. There’s a construction site next door too. After 7 am, excavators, concrete breakers and other machinery made a lot of noise, so good luck trying to sleep in. We’d booked for three days in Auckland.

I would never go back. I paid the full rate even though the deal said cheapest deal, no cancellation. The day after I booked, I saw it was $100 cheaper. The lady said it costs less if you book after 3 pm, although I’d booked at night. I checked every day after 3 and it was always full price, so I felt it was false advertising. When we got to the room, there were bloody stains on the bed and lipstick marks on the sheets. We complained and asked for a refund or compensation, since we’d paid full price and believed we were entitled to it under the consumers act or refund policy. They apologized but didn’t act, so we left. We called to speak to the manager and were told they’d get back to us the next day. When we called again, they said the same thing. After we rang once more and demanded some kind of compensation, they got mad and said no. We own a hotel and make sure our rooms are clean and fresh. We never have this problem, but we’d do our best to offer a free night or a full refund. Here they took no action and blamed us. The service was terrible, and I’ve seen other reviews about cleanliness in these apartments. They did nothing to satisfy us. They shouldn’t be running a business if they can’t look after people. Bloody terrible. I want my money back for what we paid. I have proof of the blood and lipstick stains on the bed. Disgusting and awful.

The kitchen has utensils ready to use during the rest of my stay, which is handy. After two days stuck in airports, I was surprised by how small reception was, but the room more than made up for it. It felt warm and comfortable, and I spent most of a day resting in one of the best-kept hotel rooms I’ve had in a while. 10/10.

We paid $1360 for three nights, and I was extremely unhappy with this accommodation. The photos on the website are some of the most creative I’ve seen, so don’t rely on them. We booked a two-bedroom apartment for four adults, but the second bedroom, basically a broom closet, had nowhere for suitcases. There’s so little room beside the bed that you have to turn sideways and shuffle past it. Neither bedroom has air conditioning, and the second one has no opening window. It was hotter than hades. The design and operation were both bad. When we complained to the office, they said they couldn’t move us because we’d booked through Expedia. See the attached bedroom photos for reference.

It’s a new building close to the restaurants and harbor, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The advertised one-bedroom apartment with patio was really a studio, with the kitchen squeezed into the bedroom and part of the patio turned into a dining space. There’s no wardrobe or other storage, and the layout isn’t practical. Without A/C, it gets very hot if you’re visiting in summer.
