Grand Suites Lake Tekapo

The suites were a welcome surprise on our South Island tour and exceeded expectations. From the ground floor, there was a table and chair looking across the road toward the lake. The accommodation itself was warm, spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped for self-catering. Check-in was brisk and efficient, with parking outside the suite. The location across from the footbridge and Church of the Good Shepherd made it easy to reach the lake, restaurants, and the town’s amenities. Highly recommended as a base for getting around locally.

Dave, the property manager, was so understanding when power outages in NZ meant we had to bring our booking forward. Our room, Rm 25, was beyond what we expected, more like an apartment, with a spectacular lake view and loads of space. It was spotlessly clean, and we slept brilliantly. Dave also gave us recommendations for local places to eat. We couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly.

Modern, very nice apartments, with friendly staff and great service. There’s a laundry room available, washing costs 4 NZD and drying costs 4 NZD, with detergent included. It’s walking distance from Tekapo Village and there’s enough parking. Would recommend.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Grand Suites at Lake Tekapo. The view was exceptional, the room was wonderful, and the location was perfect. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Check-in was easy and quick, and there’s a book in the room that explains everything, including how to use the fireplace.
