Getting around was easy from this ideal location, and parking was readily available. The staff provided excellent service. But the elevator to my room was inefficient: reaching the ground floor meant long waits and pressing the button repeatedly. The lobby felt unremarkable and didn’t have the usual hotel atmosphere. The room and restroom were notably compact for the price. Other hotels nearby offer more modern furnishings at similar or lower rates.

Rooms are small, but fine for a two-night stay. The accommodation felt average, and it was a bit odd having the Ibis Ellerslie joined to the Novotel, with the same entrance, check-in and checkout, restaurant and bar. The location is good, and Greenlane Station is less than a five-minute walk away for easy access to the CBD.

The food was awesome, and the team provided really caring, friendly service throughout our five-night stay. Housekeeping impressed us with the daily cleaning and a special anniversary decoration that surprised us when we entered the room. Big thanks to that team. The F&B staff were great too, and front office service was awesome. Special thanks to the guy on night duty who helped us a lot with the car park, sorry I forgot his name. We strongly recommend the hotel and will definitely see you again.

Breakfast was included, and we loved it. The staff were great too. Our room was small, but clean and really comfortable. For the price, this hotel is affordable and offers excellent service and provisions. We'd stay at IBis again!

The gym was great, and breakfast was good, though the hot food stayed exactly the same for both days. Our room was dark even with every light on during the day. We were put in an accessible room even though we hadn't asked for one, and the bathroom floor remained wet after a shower.
