Quest Newmarket

I was impressed with this hotel apartment during my business trip. The room was huge and had lots of amenities, and both check-in and check-out went very smoothly.

There was plenty of space for two adults and two kids, and we liked having two bathrooms. The rooms were clean and tidy. The dishwasher wasn't working, unfortunately, but staff quickly offered to arrange someone to fix it. They were friendly and very helpful.

The staff were very friendly, and the location worked well for me. The living room had plenty of space, though the bedroom felt a bit tight despite the large bed. It was equipped, but missing a few small things that would have made it feel less cold when you arrived. Nothing was really wrong, it was just okay overall. I'd stay again, though I'm not sure I'd strongly recommend it. I'd give it about 3.5.

Reception service was fantastic, probably the best part of the stay. The room was clean, well prepared, and had everything I'd expect from QUEST. We were over the train line and used ear plugs, so consider that a heads up, though the train noise wasn't too bad. Roadworks on the street were louder, starting at 11:30 pm and carrying on for about 1.5 hours. It's very central for getting around on foot or by car, and close to the war memorial museum. If you're driving, the secure parking offer may be worth it if it fits your budget, since gym users nearby fill the free parks quickly and you can avoid a hassle when turning in for the night. I'd happily stay again on my next Auckland City visit.
