Jan really looked after us throughout our amazing stay at Cable Bay Views. She sorted taxis, shared local advice and seemed to anticipate what we needed. The place was unreal, and far more comfortable than we expected!

The room was spotless and suited us well for a short stay. The location was lovely and peaceful, overlooking the Cable Bay Vineyard, with beautiful sunrises if you’re up early enough. If you’d rather not drink the tap water, I’d suggest getting bottled water in town.

We had no complaints about this little studio, which was just right for the two of us and in a perfect location. We went at the beginning of winter, but the weather was beautiful, around 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit. Sun poured in morning and night, keeping the studio warm. The patio views were gorgeous, and the grounds are very well landscaped. We also loved the shower and shampoo and conditioner, and the Nespresso was wonderful.

The view at night was incredible, with Auckland’s skyline in the distance looking like a space station. The Lodge house was a comfortable place to stay, with two large bedrooms, a spacious family room, and a washer and dryer. The location on Waiheke Island was fairly good, with everything about a 10-15 minute drive away. The cleaning crew could do a bit better in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Waiheke Island is a must-visit if you’re going to Auckland. We’d recommend renting e-bikes and riding to Man o’ War winery. If you’re in good shape, the ride and views are spectacular, and the wines are quite good.
