We had a wonderful stay at The Lodge at Mudbrick on Waiheke Island. The rooms are peaceful and private, with considerate details and a welcoming, polished feel. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the outlook over vineyards to the water is gorgeous throughout the day. Staff are attentive without hovering. With dining and wine tasting on site, it’s easy to settle in and enjoy the island at an unhurried pace.

I didn't stay overnight, so I can't say anything about the rooms. Everything else was fabulous, though, with outstanding service and lovely views, food and wine. No complaints at all, probably one of the best vineyards on waiheke.

I went with friends who were celebrating 25 years since getting married on this estate, and we had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff, which made it even better. The views are breathtaking and the atmosphere welcoming. We chose the wine tasting platter, with four wines, and every one was bloody delicious. I'd highly recommend Mudbrick Winery for a memorable day out on Waiheke Island.

There are several lovely places to sit, from fine dining with ocean and scenic views to a casual spot under the trees. The garden, full of lavender, adds so much charm. The whole venue has a beautiful French feel, with amazing food and wine.
