Airport Lodge Motel

We’ve stayed here at least ten times, and it’s been comfortable every visit. The free parking for two weeks is great value, and there’s a shuttle to and from the airport. After the free allowance, parking costs $25 a week, which is still very reasonable. The rooms are dated but always clean, and I’ve slept well each time. Staff are welcoming and friendly. I’ll be back.

The room smelled bad and felt dirty, and there was rubbish, leaves, and cigarette butts outside. The windows wouldn’t lock, the sink had a hole and leaked through the cardboard underneath, and there were holes in the walls with blood on them. It was really cold, the heater barely worked, and the jug was broken. There was no bathroom fan, so the whole place steamed up. Noise from next door brought the police, and the workers were rude. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Don’t waste your money.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Our room was disgusting. The bins were still full, there were used toiletries in the shower, dirty toilet paper floating in the toilet, and no sheets on the beds. I doubt anyone had cleaned it after the previous booking. I’ve cancelled our future bookings and can’t rate this place low enough.

The two bedroom apartment had a good layout, there was plenty of dishware, and it was very clean. The playground was great for the kids, and the Wi-Fi was stable enough for Netflix. It looked a bit worn, which would have been fine, but the electric blankets in the kids’ room didn’t work. The sofas were uncomfortable and you could feel the sleeper bed bars underneath. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable too. Fine for one night, but I wouldn’t stay for a week. Updated furniture would make it a great place.
