Bealey Avenue Motel

The location is handy, reasonably close to the city centre. The room was spacious, and the shower had good pressure and temperature, but a strong, strange smell from the room and one towel made it uncomfortable. There’s no air conditioning, even though the Agoda app mentioned it, and that would have helped with the smell. Internet worked for videos, but it kept disconnecting, mainly on my laptop. Only one device per person can connect, so using a phone and laptop at once means someone else has to give up their connection. One of the supplied pots was burnt and brown; the others were fine. It was decent for cleanliness and comfort overall, but those issues were drawbacks.

Getting around was easy from this safe, pleasant area. There are bus stops nearby, a restaurant a couple of minutes away, and a pharmacy across the road. It’s a flat 15-minute walk to both the supermarket and town. The rooms and amenities were immaculate and new, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. We slept very well in comfortable beds with quality linen, and couldn’t hear noise from the road or other rooms. It was exceptional value, and I’d definitely stay again.

Great location, but the rooms need a proper makeover. The carpet was stained and lifting, the shower had no pressure, and the bed was very uncomfortable. There was also a bad septic smell in the bathroom and toilet. We stayed three nights and were disappointed with the condition.

Late check-in went smoothly, and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were very clean and we had a wonderful stay. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, nice place to stay.
