Carnmore Hagley Park

The place looks recently renovated, and it’s tidy inside. The smart TV and heat pump are nice features, especially in summer. But our room had a musty smell that stayed even with the windows open all day. I suspect there may be mould in the walls or carpet. The bathroom paint was peeling, and traffic from the nearby main road made it noisy at night.

The room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the location was excellent. The evening check-in went wrong, though. There seemed to be a mix-up between reception and the event organizers, and there was no key in the lockbox when I arrived. I ended up sharing a unit with another judge from the event. Luckily, it had a separate bed in the living area, so we still had some privacy.

The shower water could have been hotter, and the bathroom door was awkward to close while using the toilet. The beds were the bigger problem, though: we booked doubles, but they were singles pushed together. After five nights, my back was really sore. The stay was pretty good apart from that.

Our stay was the best, and the housekeeping manager made a big difference. He was kind, backed our team, and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time at Carnmore Hagley Park. Thank you so much!
