Cathedral Junction Apartment

The location was the best part, with everything close enough to walk to and public transport right outside. The room was much smaller than I expected. The bathroom was tiny and had nowhere to put toiletries, and the bed wasn't very comfortable. The portable aircon was odd and took up even more room.

We stayed for one night before carrying on with our trip, and it was comfortable and memorable. The hotel was well organized and clean, and the location worked really well. The main building is on the main street shown on Google; our building was just behind it on a side street and easy to get to. There's a tram stop by the entrance, plus a back street with lots of restaurants and a pleasant walking route.

The location was very convenient after a long haul flight and suited our two night stay. Still, the service and cleanliness were disappointing. No staff were available after 8pm, which seemed limiting for a property this size. Every towel was stained, the showers needed a more thorough clean, and the smoke alarm flashes green right above the bed. It was fine for a short visit, but for a longer stay I would have asked to change rooms.

We were very disappointed with room 11A for the price. It looked nothing like the photos on your website. We've stayed in Auckland and Wellington hotels that cost less and were much more beautiful, with great views and lovely bathrooms. Staff only said hello and goodbye, and when we checked out no one even asked how our stay had been. The other Quest up the road was only $80 more and was beautiful by comparison. This place felt more like a hostel, but cost more. Sorry for the bad feedback, but I'm just telling you the truth.
