The staff were the best part, really friendly and professional. The hostel is near the beach, so there’s no need to go far for some fun. It also has what I look for in a good hostel: clean rooms and bathrooms, a good bed, and nice people.

The rooms got extremely hot at night, probably because they’re upstairs and on the small side. A large pedestal fan was provided, though, and made it much more pleasant. The bed was a cheap Warehouse one but surprisingly comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and great, and the facilities overall were neat and tidy. It was quiet overnight, with people being respectful of the shared space. The place had a calm, safe feel.

The central Christchurch location is perfect for the price, and the friendly reception team made check-in easy and shared useful local tips. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the common areas well kept. There’s a spacious kitchen and cosy lounge where it’s easy to spend time with other guests, plus quiet hours for a proper rest. Wi-Fi was excellent, storage felt secure, and the little details were well thought out. A good fit for budget travellers who want comfort, safety, and a sense of community.

We stopped here briefly to rest before heading off on our travels to queens town. The gentleman who helped us was friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms and showers looked renovated and were very clean, and the shared kitchen was big and easy to use. It’s a great spot, only minutes from the beach and cafés.
