The shared kitchen has a handy spot for leftover food, which we really appreciated at the end of a rental. The free little self-service car wash did the job too, and was perfect before we dropped off our campervan. Staff were friendly and let us stay past checkout. The holiday park had everything we needed, with spacious, clean facilities, unlimited hot water in the showers, and efficient brand new washing machines. We can only recommend it!
The kids loved the pool and playground, and it was an easy walk to the supermarkets. Our two-room cabin came with all linen and bedding, and the nearby kitchen was well equipped, even with spare pots. The toilets and showers were close and clean. The hosts communicated well before we arrived. We really enjoyed the stay and would use this campground again.
We’ve been stopping at this campground on our travels for years, and the service has always been efficient, helpful, and friendly. The hard-working staff do a thorough job, and the manager has done a great job running the team over the years. Highly recommend!
We meant to stay four nights, but liked it so much we added another. The kids had fun in the indoor pool and with the activities, including the pizza oven, movie night, and colouring at reception. Our cabin was clean and comfy. It’s a friendly, family-like holiday park, and we’ll definitely come back. Thanks for a great stay!
The price was cheap, but the place felt very unsafe. The amenities are too small and poorly laid out. It might work for one night, but keep a close eye on your things. We spent two nights in our campervan on an unpowered site. Although most sites were nearly empty, we were assigned a spot in the far back corner, a long way from the facilities for no clear reason. On the first evening, while we were in the kitchen, someone walked around our car looking at our belongings. There was nothing else back there, so it felt strange. Later that night, a woman asked us for help in the bathrooms because a creepy man was following her. The next day, because of what had happened the night before, we took our camping chairs with us into the city, though we otherwise wouldn’t have. We left only a cheap chilly bin and a damaged table behind. When we returned, the chilly bin was missing and our food had been dumped in a pile of leaves. Some men came straight over and said they’d seen a car pull up, empty it, and take the chilly bin. They had a video of its number plate, so we reported it at reception. The response was, “Well, what do you want me to do about that?” After some arguing, they added the plate to a list of vehicles trespassing and stealing things. It sounded like this happens often here. We didn’t pursue it since the loss was only about $40, but the whole response says a lot about how little care the park takes with safety. The bathrooms have free showers with unlimited hot water, but even with the sites nearly empty in the off season, there weren’t enough for the number of people staying. They also weren’t very clean, more what you’d expect at a freedom camp. The kitchen was clean and well maintained, though not especially well equipped.
