I was there by myself for a week in March 2025, and it worked out well for me. It wasn’t perfect, but it had all the amenities I needed and was good enough. If I return to Christchurch, I’d consider staying there again.

The carpark was ridiculously small, and the room was very outdated. It looked nothing like the website photos and smelled like urine, or as if it had flooded and never dried properly. I absolutely wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to anyone.

Fine for one night if all you need is somewhere central, with a smart TV and Netflix. The room was basic and quite dirty, though. I wouldn’t book for more than a night.

We rented the three-bedroom apartment for four of us, though it could sleep about ten. It was amazing. The internet was a bit spotty at times.

The parking at the front was cramped, although there’s much more space at the back. There was no Wi-Fi, which was probably a good thing, really. Gucchi channels were available, but you had to use your own login to watch.
