We loved staying here. There are lots of different rooms to hang out in, whether you want company or somewhere to chill, and the kitchen is huge with all the basics for cooking. Everything was clean and cosy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone staying in Christchurch!

Tuarae was one of the cleanest and best places we’ve stayed in Christchurch. We booked through luxury Escapes and weren’t disappointed. The bus depot next door made the location perfect, and there’s great food downstairs. Staff were friendly and ready to help with any questions. We especially loved the yoga and exercise space onsite, plus the lounges indoors and outdoors on most levels. Thanks to Tuarae for the exceptional service during our January stay. We’ll be back.

Drifters is right in central Christchurch, with shops and things to do nearby and easy access by car or public transport. The facilities are lovely, and I had fun exploring and meeting people even though I didn’t get to try everything. I’m not usually a top-bunk person, but I slept well and getting up wasn’t a big issue. The ladder rungs were flat wood, not those round metal ones, which I hate. The mobile key card took a couple of tries to figure out, especially at the elevator. The bed was comfy, too. Thanks, Drifters, I’d stay again if I get the chance 💜

Such a cute, lovely hostel, and the bed was really comfortable. Every bed has a charging port, even USB-C, which is amazing. The staff were kind and Marly and T helped me so much. I want to stay here again!

The bunks were clean, comfy, and convenient, with a privacy curtain, a little light switch, and a spot to charge and put your phone. Showers were clean and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The staff were really kind, shoutout to T! I’d absolutely recommend staying here. I’ll include the picture I sent my mother for reference.
