We stayed just one night, but it was a great visit. The ocean view was lovely, and the location was excellent. Our room was large and really comfortable, with an excellent shower. Breakfast was outstanding, one of the best we've had so far in New Zealand. Highly recommend!

We stayed three nights, and the rooms were very clean with excellent water pressure. Staff at the hotel and Bloody Marys restaurant were super friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there every day. There was a whole section of gluten-free and dairy-free options, and all the hot food was labelled. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you're GF and DF. Be sure to add breakfast!

Our stay was wonderful, and Lama at reception deserves special thanks. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful, quickly and professionally sorting out our problems. His outstanding service made everything much easier and the visit truly memorable.

The location is great, but I wouldn't stay again. I reported several problems to the manager, who waived the parking fee, but that didn't make things right for me. The room was fine and did the job, though nothing fancy. There were long hairs on the bathroom floor and whiskers on the vanity. The bathroom door squeaked so loudly that it woke my sleeping partner. The shower door didn't seal properly, and the resulting flood took every towel in the room to mop up. Internet speed was 7.43 down and 2.44 up, slower than ADSL, so good luck checking email, let alone joining a work Zoom. In a country with internet as good as NZ's, that just isn't good enough. For me, a good room needs a comfortable bed, cleanliness, a good shower, and strong internet. This room only met one of those criteria. Waiving parking was a poor resolution. The right thing would've been to discount the stay.
