Simple Guest House - Great Location

We chose this motel because the price was affordable, but it turned out much better than places we’ve paid more for. It was surprisingly clean and comfortable, with super friendly staff. It’s close enough to walk into town, or an Uber is $9. The small kitchenette would be handy for a longer stay.

The front staff were very kind, and the place was quiet and clean for an overnight stay. There’s a kitchen and laundry, with a few good restaurant options within walking distance and the botanical gardens not too far away. We had to miss one night because of a flight issue, and they didn’t refund us. That was disappointing, though otherwise the place was great.

Our one-bedroom unit had a microwave, two hobs and a small fridge. It was clean, warm and comfortable, and well priced. It had also been recently refurbished. I’d happily book again.

We booked through the agoda website because it showed a smoking room as available, and the motel’s own website showed it too. When we arrived, the owner was rude and first wouldn’t let us in. After he did, he knocked hard on our door seven times, then told us our booking was cancelled. He was the rudest and most racist person we’ve encountered. Avoid this place. It sucks and it’s terrible.
