The view from the deck is the reason to book here. It was stunning, truly unbeatable, with a million-dollar outlook. Don't expect five-star luxury, but the motel manager was easygoing and very accommodating.

Jocelyn really cared about making our mother and son trip special and went out of her way to help. The rooms are spacious, and the kitchen was very useful. After three weeks in NZ, this was our favourite place to stay. And that view is amazing!

The balcony has a lovely view, and the room was clean with everything we needed, even though it felt dated. The only downside was the very weak shower pressure, which made washing my hair a challenge.

The unit was spacious, with twin beds in a separate bedroom and a double and single bed in the main living area. The view was lovely, but the place felt very tired and needs updating. Parking was tight, and there were lots of spiders and cobwebs. The toilet didn't work properly. I explained the problem twice during our three-night stay, but nothing improved, so we had to drive into town to use a public toilet. That was unacceptable.

We could happily have spent the whole stay on the deck eating fish and chips. It had an amazing view, and in summer the African lillies in full bloom looked gorgeous. Our room had a queen and three twin beds, plus a basic kitchen and kitchenware, so it worked well for a family. Ross made check-in easy, and the place had lots of charm. Read the guest info book, it gave us a few laughs. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area.
