The room was comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and furnished, with a king-size bed. It was a little marked down by dust on the bedside shelf and in the drawers, and the dining chair cushions were worn and had noticeable dips. For two people, the room was adequate, though not large. There were no cooking facilities, but we had a small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, basic dishes and cutlery for two. The sink had a flickmixer, while the bathroom had two separate taps, which wasn't very convenient. The place is well presented and maintained, with tidy gardens and trees around the courtyard carpark. The rooms sit on two sides of it across two storeys, and there's just one entrance and exit. It felt quite safe, with a vigilant manager and cleaning staff around. There are laundry facilities onsite. Staff were friendly, and we stayed two nights. They refilled the milk and tea daily and emptied the bin. It's a comfortable stop while travelling on to another destination.

I spent two weeks here while having treatment at the hospital, and the staff and facilities were absolutely wonderful. I could relax and feel at home, and the little fridge was great for groceries. Everything I needed was within walking distance, including the supermarket, hospital, botanic gardens, museums and shops, so there were activities to fill the day. Guests can also use the gym. Highly recommend.

I spent two weeks here in mid-November while attending a course at University of Otago. The motel was nice and clean, the owners were very pleasant despite my limited interaction with them, and I occasionally saw their dog and cat. The location was great and the price decent. My overall stay was positive, and I'd stay again. I arrived after 7 pm, when reception was closed, and waited around ten minutes before someone noticed me and kindly called one of the owners. I didn't have a local NZ SIM to call myself. They'd tried to ring me but couldn't reach my Australian number. A text would have helped, since receiving SMS is free on international numbers, or they could have emailed me. From another review, I gathered guests are usually given a small bottle of milk on arrival for tea or coffee. Because I checked in late, mine had already been left in the fridge. It was in a clear glass bottle with no label, so at first I couldn't tell if it was complimentary or left by a previous guest. A note or a marker label would have cleared that up. My first night was a weekend, and I believe it was the last week of term before the university's summer break. There were a couple of university flats nearby, and they were very noisy that first weekend. Thankfully, I had no noise problems for the rest of my stay. A few things could be improved. The shower pressure was atrocious, and I had to remove the shower head to get a decent flow. Because of the tub's position, water pooled at the side, dripped down the corner and onto the floor, soaking my bath mat even though I used the curtain properly. The two living-area chairs need replacing: their seat cushions sank and gave me no support. Only two of the six bulbs in the reading lights above the bed worked. The housekeeping also varied during my 14 nights. The room was very clean when I arrived, but afterward the cleaning quality was inconsistent. I know the staff try not to disturb guests' belongings, but sometimes the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly, perhaps because they were short on time. The end table gathered dust and wasn't wiped once. The bed was made maybe three or four times in two weeks. I understand the sheets aren't changed daily, but the bed should at least be tidied each day. Towels were replaced most of the time, but on my second-to-last day they hung my wet bath mat on the shower rail. Bin emptying was hit and miss: some days it was emptied with barely any rubbish, other days it wasn't emptied when half full. They don't wash plates or glasses, which is to be expected. They did change the sheets and shower curtain at the end of the first week, which was nice.

The Cable Court team looked after my family and me through a challenging time, and we really appreciated how kind they were. Thank you for being so awesome. The beds were comfy, the units well equipped, and it's close to town, uni and the hospital.

The rooms were clean and well serviced, and the bed and linen were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the place is central in Dunedin. I'd stay here again.
