From the friendly staff, who went out of their way to help, to the clean, stylish, warm room, I had a great stay. The neighbourhood views are spectacular, and there’s a pleasant walk through a nature reserve into the city. This is now my first choice in Dunedin, and I’d absolutely stay again.

We mainly drove into the centre, since there was plenty of parking around, though we did walk the 20+ minutes there a couple of times. The rooms were smart and very clean, with the comfiest beds and bedding, a great shower, and a useful kitchenette with a kettle, microwave, toaster, and mini fridge. The staff were lovely too. We wanted somewhere reasonably priced with free, secure parking for a few nights in Dunedin, and this place exceeded our expectations.

We only had one night and wished we could have stayed longer. David was friendly and really helpful, even arranging a last-minute airport shuttle that saved us about $70. The room was perfectly clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the shower had good pressure.

The rooms look out nicely, and ours had a firm bed. It’s in a lovely, quiet suburb. Having a car is ideal, but walkers shouldn’t be put off if they don’t mind a 15-minute uphill walk back along a nice bush track.

They gave us a complimentary upgrade when we arrived, which was nice. The rooms have been updated, and ours was clean, with a comfortable bed and plunger coffee. I did ask for an extra hour at checkout, but they couldn’t accommodate that.
