The warm water had good pressure, and the campsite was central, with everything just a few minutes away. But this was easily our worst camping stay in NZ so far. The bathrooms were dirty and mouldy, and the whole place felt neglected. The kitchen was a disaster with hardly any equipment. The boards with their names written on them were black and dirty, and rubbish was left lying around. What a shame. The whole place needs an upgrade and a new sanitary building.

We really enjoyed the evening glow worm walk with James. He knew a lot and was funny, too. The room was cosy with a good-sized spa bath, and the hospitality was great. Breakfast felt homemade and welcoming, especially the freshly baked bread and brewed coffee. Everything was clean. I'd definitely come back and recommend it 😃

The kitchen was cramped and dirty, and there was only one plug for the two sinks. The toilets weren't very clean either. We wouldn't stay again and would choose Top 10 next time. The woman at reception was hard to understand, and we couldn't get across that we had a caravan, not a camper van. Camp Saver was advertised, but we were told it wouldn't be available until the following month.

We were travelling in a camper van, so I can't comment on the rooms. The campsite was good enough that we booked one night and stayed for two. It's near the quiet settlement and places to eat, and has all the amenities we needed. There's also a free glow worm tour in the evening. Staff were friendly without being intrusive. The kitchen and recreation room are dated but work fine. Toilets and showers were clean, with great water pressure. There's a dump site and drinking water by reception.

We camped for one night, but the facilities felt poor for the price. The kitchen was old and tiny, the toilets dirty and mouldy, and the whole place seemed run down, as if staff or owners didn't care. The camping spot wasn't good either. When we tried to find the right place for our tent, staff were a bit rude.
