We had an easy time parking right outside our unit, and the location was handy for a short drive into town, Lake Matheson, and the Fox Glacier viewpoint. The unit felt new and modern, and it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully furnished, and we liked the coffee provided. They supplied towels, bath gel, and shampoo, but no hair conditioner, so bring your own if you use it. The coin laundry costs $2nzd per wash and $6nzd for the dryer. Bring detergent or buy some at reception.

Mt Cook is visible from the motel grounds, and the friendly dogs and chickens living there were a highlight. The rooms were large and clean, the amenities were great, and the wifi was super fast. I couldn't fault the accommodation and would highly recommend it, especially to travelers with their own transport.

We spent a few days here with family on a road trip and had a pleasant stay. It was peaceful and scenic, a comfortable place to rest, and the owner's dogs were very friendly and sweet, making it feel more welcoming. Getting to stores and nearby attractions wasn't very convenient, though, so having a vehicle is recommended.

Matt, the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms were tidy and very well maintained. We slept well on the excellent mattress. For this price range, it's easily one of the best motels I've stayed in across New Zealand. The room was spacious and clean, with a stunning view of the Mount Cook ranges, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The area was quiet and peaceful, with few restaurants and minimal crowds, which made for a relaxing getaway. Fox Glacier Viewpoint and Lake Matheson are nearby and well worth visiting.

The family dogs were so welcoming and smoochy, and I'd stay here again. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and nicely laid out. Having a little kitchenette made breakfast convenient. For dinner, I highly recommend Betsy Jean's down the road. Glacier View Point and Lake Matheson are both a short drive away.
