As a trucker, I stay in plenty of different places, and the Celtic knows how to give great service. Paul was an amazing host. The tidy room was nice, the service was top-notch, and there was space to park a truck and trailer right outside. It’s tucked off the main street, so the night was quiet. I’m really looking forward to staying here again.

We stopped at the Celtic motel while travelling from the Wellington ferry to Tongariro, and had a surprisingly excellent stay. The owner was very friendly and keeps a beautiful garden. Our room was immaculate, quiet, and newly outfitted, with a well-equipped kitchen area and bathroom. It’s just a short turn off the main road. Thanks for a pleasant evening.

The room was absolutely immaculate, the cleanest motel I’ve ever stayed in, and had all the things you’d need. The welcoming host made us feel at home. It was quiet, with comfortable beds, a big TV with all the Sky channels you’d want, and free Wi-Fi. I’ll definitely stay again and have no problem recommending it to everyone.

I arrived to a beautiful cooked roast dinner with gravy, and dessert was available too, though I wish I’d had some. The rooms are beautifully laid out, super clean, and have comfortable beds and pillows. Celtic's motel is a little off the beaten track, but totally worth it for how quiet it is. It deserves your attention.

I stayed one night with a motorcycle tour group and had a pleasant visit to the local Foxton Beach and Fishing Club. The motel was really clean, quiet, and comfortable, and looked like it had been recently refurbished. The showers were nice and new, and the beds were really comfortable.
