Our two-bedroom apartment suited us perfectly for a week, and we couldn’t find anything to fault. The beach is nearby, with a cafe just across the road. The staff were so warm and accommodating throughout, especially Caro and Maria. We had a fantastic time.

Caro, you’re a gem, and we’ll be back! We stayed here over Christmas and absolutely loved it. The apartment had everything we needed, and the facilities were great. It was spacious and very clean. I’ve lived in NZ for 20 years after coming from Europe, and this is easily the best motel I’ve stayed at here. Highly recommend it.

I got to walk to the beach, about five minutes away, and the water was fine for swimming. The sunrise was beautiful. There’s also a great cafe nearly across the street, with a fabulous cappuccino, quiche, and a good menu. The Neighborhood Cantina is on the premises, and its burrito with chips was excellent. They serve margaritas, beer on tap, and wine. It was the weekend just after Christmas and very busy, so make a reservation. Maria was lovely when checking me in and had lots of good suggestions when I asked questions. I’d recommend staying here.

The staff were wonderful, from the messages before we arrived to the housekeeping interactions. Everyone was friendly and easygoing, and the room was spacious, well cared for, and had all we needed. We stayed over Christmas while visiting family by marriage. Thanks for a lovely stay, Caro. We’ll definitely return.

Wainui Beach is a beautiful two-minute walk away, and the motel works well for couples or families. The rooms are spacious and high quality. Caro, Maria, and the rest of the staff were fantastic, nothing seemed like a problem.
