Our rooms were modern and nicely presented, and the staff were helpful and knew their food, the lodge, and local activities well. The three of us had two dinners and breakfasts at Ratanui Lodge. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious, from the new season menu’s seared tuna, croquettes, scallop and salmon duo, to lamb, pork, local fish green curry, and beef bavette. We finished with delicious desserts and enjoyed the interesting local and regional drinks, especially the gins. It was a fabulous stay and a high-end dining experience from Chefs Juan and Carolina. Best hotel we’ve stayed in so far in New Zealand.

We loved the day out kayaking along the coast and visiting local distilleries, as well as seeing the stunning Waikoropupū Springs. Back at the lodge, the day spa was a relaxing way to end the day. The food was incredible, the rooms were beautifully presented, and the welcome was warm. The team went above and beyond to make us feel special. A fabulous blend of comfort, charm, and adventure. Highly recommend!

The restaurant food was excellent, and ebikes were included for exploring the area. There’s also a small, clean pool and hot tub. Our rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable, with an outdoor porch among the flowers, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the north end of the Abel Tasman hike, in Pohara ?spelling along the coast. I’d love to stay here again!

The gardens are beautifully kept and feel like a little green paradise. Our room was comfortable and had nice amenities, and the renovated spa felt lovely and quite luxurious. The food was really tasty, with a great range of local wines. Ratanui Lodge is well placed near the beach and Pupu Springs, and in the centre of Golden Bay. We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it.

I’m going home feeling relaxed and revitalized. The spa was the best experience, a delightful journey from the moment I opened the door. Geraldine gave me a wonderful welcome, and the elegant rooms look out over lovely gardens, with the beach just across the road. Dinner was delicious and beautifully presented, thank you Carolina and team. The service from Katie and Cruz was amazing. A huge thank you to everyone. I’ll definitely be back.
