The place is beautiful, quiet, and well placed for visiting Abel Tasman National Park. Steve and the staff were really welcoming. I arrived very late, and somehow the booking hadn't come through correctly, but they still got me into the yurt and had everything ready within minutes. Definitely recommended!

It's close to lots of great spots, and the place has so much character. The eclectic bungalows are decorated with art, and pizza night adds to the charming, one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

I'm sure the accommodation itself is lovely, but be careful booking far ahead through a third party at one of the early, cheaper rates. I did that and ended up stranded without a room on the day I was due to arrive. Apparently a customer paying more was given priority. They sent a message saying they were sorry about the 'mishap', as if this were normal for a properly managed 4-star accommodation. That apology hardly covered what I had to spend to rebook.

We loved our stay and wished we'd booked more than one night. It's such a quiet, beautiful spot, with a quirky feel where you can relax and unwind. We'll definitely be back.

A warning for anyone planning to stay: make sure you have an official reservation on Booking.com. The owner made a verbal agreement with us directly to avoid the Booking.com fee, but when we arrived, he wasn't there and the staff wouldn't let us stay.
