The hotel has a classic mid century modern look, a restaurant, and lovely grounds. The staff were all wonderful, especially Manu, whose calm leadership and problem solving stood out. When there was an issue, they dealt with it quickly, whether that meant replacing a breakfast I wasn’t keen on, finding the owner of a lost dog, or bringing extra towels.

The room was reasonably priced, but it seemed a bit dirty. I kept spotting little bits of spiders, dirt, and leaves on the beds. Check-in was confusing at first, and they sent me to the room while they figured out the details of our stay. The staff were accommodating after that, especially the woman in the restaurant at breakfast. Unfortunately, the food was terrible: the scrambled eggs tasted greasy, the mushrooms were dried out, and my daughter’s French toast was soggy, with fruit on top that looked unappetising. There was a lot of room for improvement.
