We liked being a little out of town, with a short drive or a 20-30 minute walk to get there. The Tourist Flats are spacious, with a studio area and another room that can sleep five more if you bring family. There’s a good playground and the pool was a nice extra. It’s affordable, too. The park is peaceful and quaint, with nice trees and greenery and a real kiwi bach feel. Great to be back at this campground.

Really good value for the price. The campsite is in a beautiful spot, with lovely staff and nice amenities. The kitchen is big, and there’s a cosy TV room to duck into when the weather’s bad. We also liked the pool, all the space around it and the strong shower pressure. Loved it.

We came for a week in winter and ended up staying four months in our motorhome. It’s paradise here, no traffic, just birdsong in a park-like setting. The shared spaces are always spotless and smell fresh. The owners are lovely, friendly and helpful. There’s a playground, fairy walk and sandpit to keep the kids busy, plus a pool to cool off in after riding Hanmers many bike trails. Highly recommend.

The owner was so lovely and helpful, and made us feel welcome. The holiday park is a bit dated and could use a refresh, but we were comfortable enough. We had a pleasant, relaxed, no-fuss stay.

We had a fabulous six nights in a tourist flat with our two children. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, plus a dining table, sofa and queen bed. The separate room had bunks and two extra single beds. Everything was clean and worked well. The kids loved biking and playing with other children. We used the grass area for frisbee, and the playground was close by and lots of fun. The campground was tidy and well maintained, and all the staff were friendly. John and Melissa were very accommodating. We’ll 100% be back and highly recommend it.
