The views were spectacular each morning, exactly the kind of setting my partner and I wanted for a break from work. Our room was clean, well equipped, and had lovely linen. Brian and Julie were warm and welcoming, greeting us with fresh lime when we arrived. They knew the area well and pointed us toward great places to visit and some outstanding wineries. We had an amazing stay and would happily come back. Thanks to Julie and Brian for the wonderful hospitality.

We booked a night at Waimahu Retreat at the last minute while travelling up from Rotorua, and Bryan and Julie made us feel welcome straight away. They greeted us with cold drinks after the trip, and our room was cozy. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and felt made with a lot of care. I'm seven months pregnant, and this was just the experience my partner and I needed. Highly recommend, and I can't wait to return :)

Julie and Bryan made our four nights at Waimahu Retreat feel like visiting friends. Their personal touches and the way they responded to our individual needs made the stay especially memorable. The beds were comfortable, the linen and towels were divine, and breakfast was delicious, made with fresh local produce and homemade bread. We also loved relaxing with the panoramic coastal views. Our hosts helped us connect with the picturesque Matakana Coast community, sharing local insights and hidden gems, including breweries, coastal walks, restaurants, and outstanding wineries. A charming, well appointed home with genuine hospitality in abundance. We'll be back!
