The owners were really helpful when we checked in at 2am. We had booked the two-bedroom house, which was clean, tidy, spacious, and just right for us, with a full kitchen and everything we needed. There was off-street parking too. The house seems to date from the 1950s and has single-glazed windows. The shower is over the bath, and the toilet is in the bathroom.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the motel provided a crib for my baby at no extra cost, which was a big help. I stayed for two nights with my little one, and the staff were so friendly, kind, and attentive that we felt welcome throughout. They were easy to approach and made the stay enjoyable. This has already become my go-to place for a quick getaway 😄. Five stars from me for the staff, service, and accommodation. Highly recommend!

I've stayed here several times and would happily recommend it. The hosts are gracious, and the unit is warm, lovely, and well equipped. Its location in Kaiapoi is ideal for me, close to family.

We were held up on the journey by unforeseen circumstances and arrived 20 minutes late for check-in. There was no message and no key left out, so we had to stay at another motel. They charged my card the full amount, and when I called to ask for even a partial refund, they refused. Disgusting!

Just what we needed as weary travelers: clean, really nice rooms. It's a stunning wee motel on the edge of Kaiapoi, and our host was helpful, gracious, and fun. We had a great stay.
