The Grange

The room feels like a sumptuous step back in time, with a very comfortable bed, a well-equipped bathroom, and a few treats. This B&B is a real find, handily placed within walking distance of the eateries on Mt Eden Road and the shops on Dominion Road. I’d definitely recommend it if you enjoy gracious villas with a touch of luxury and friendly, helpful hosts.

The location is brilliant, peaceful but close to everything you need. Heather and Roy were such warm, welcoming hosts, and chatting with them felt like catching up with people we’d known for ages. Their home is fantastic, lovingly decorated, and impeccably clean. We loved the super-comfortable bed and the romantic en-suite bathroom. We hope to return one day and would recommend staying here to family, friends, and colleagues.

Roy’s coffees were a highlight, and the location was great. We’ve stayed here three times and would happily come back. Heather and Roy made us feel at home, with fun, intelligent conversation when we felt like socializing and plenty of respect for our privacy when we didn’t. It’s a stunning, lovingly restored home, immaculate and comfortable, with lovely outdoor seating areas and secure parking onsite. The beds and bedding were the most comfortable we’ve slept in during our travels. Thoughtful details included proper outlets, water and chocolates by the bed, plenty of towels, and all the bathroom amenities we could think of. Great value for money. Just a perfect stay.

We really enjoyed Heather and Roy’s company. Their intelligent, stimulating conversations added to our experience and exceeded our expectations. They also struck a lovely balance between warm hospitality and giving us plenty of privacy, and made sure our stay was restful and comfortable.
