The SKY package was excellent and even included all the movies. Staff were very friendly in the few interactions I had, and the very old decor was well maintained, but the furniture wasn't. One of the beds was okay, while the double mattress had such worn out springs that sitting on it took you straight down to the base. The dining table chairs were all stained, and there was no air conditioning. I stayed just after xmas, and this was much more expensive than other motels we stayed at in Northland on the same trip.

The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable, and the next morning the advertised "3 in 1 shampoo and conditioner" was empty, so I had to use the hand soap by the sink. The TV wouldn't turn on, only the sky box did, and there was no remote or TV power button. We couldn't cook because basic things were missing: blunt knives, no cutting board, glasses, cups, plates, bowls, or anything to eat from. The unit was unbearably hot, with just a small fan and no air con, and no way to get air circulating. There was a horrible smell as soon as we walked in, like old carpet, dust, and ancient furniture, plus the bathroom smelled a bit like urine. We stayed one night and wished we hadn't. Honestly one of the worst motels I've stayed in, especially at that price. Avoid if you can.

The location was good, but the motel was so dated it felt like stepping back into the 1950s, and the couch belonged at the rubbish dump. Lights in the bathroom and lounge didn't work, and it was so dirty I couldn't sleep. Staff were rude as hell. Emergency housing people live here.

Friendly service, and the rooms are always being maintained. The rooms are nice and affordable, and our stay suits our budget, so we'll definitely go back. Unit 9 has an 80s vibe shower, which is great. If stairs are difficult for you, mention that when booking. The driveway could use some tender loving care, but the motel is very convenient to town.😊👌
