The Beach House

We had a spacious, clean room with a comfortable king-size bed, an amazing shower and a deck overlooking the sea. The location is wonderful, and there are paddles and kayaks to enjoy the turquoise water. We even spotted eagle rays! Luke managed everything exceptionally well and was always ready to help. He also gave us great guidance for some lovely walks. The whole team made us feel welcome. Karina’s breakfasts, lunches and dinners were amazing, gourmet meals made with New Zealand products. Dinner came with great wine and a choice of three or five courses. Thanks again to Luke, Karina and the team for a perfect stay. I can’t recommend this place enough.

A fantastic weekend away. Getting there was really easy, and we had a great experience.

We stayed at The Beach House just before Waitangi Day, and from the warm welcome at the pier after we got off the ferry to the end of our stay, we were so well looked after. Our room was excellent, with all the amenities you could think of. We ate some of the best seafood we’ve ever had outside, looking out at the beautiful ocean. My wife has a dairy allergy, and the team took great care to make sure everything was prepared properly. The three-course dinner was sublime, with each dish better than the last. We didn’t want to leave.

You can be as active or relaxed as you like here, in a really beautiful place. Karina and Luke were fabulous hosts, and Karina is an amazing chef who catered to our needs. Nothing was too much trouble. They treated us as if we were the most important guests there. We’d recommend staying here to anyone.
