Avalon Resort

We only stayed one night, but I’d happily come back. It’s peaceful, with lovely natural surroundings, and the manager went out of his way to help us. The town centre, with its shops and cafes, is about a kilometre away on foot. There’s also a bakery cafe just 200 metres away.

I wish we’d booked a few more nights. The room was spacious, the shower was incredible, and the whole place felt wonderfully relaxed. We also had a lovely swim in the pool that evening. Brad, the owner, was helpful whenever we had a question.

We made good use of the spa pool and enjoyed walking around the property. The grounds feel peaceful and tucked into the bush, though the town centre is still only a five minute walk away. We were warmly welcomed and appreciated being offered an upgrade to choose from. The staff explained all the amenities clearly. Our unit had a full kitchen, a large bedroom and a comfortable bed, with direct access to the shared dining and BBQ area, spa, sauna and pool. I booked Avalon Resort as a surprise for my partner’s 50th birthday, and it turned out to be a great choice for a quiet, restful weekend.

We were so comfortable here, and the owner was very kind. After two nights I was sorry we had to leave. The room had everything we needed, and it was wonderfully quiet, with a little swimming pond that currently has a duck living in it :D. The setting feels like a fairytale: you drive down a small road and first see a pond with lots of ducks and chickens wandering around, then the cottages. It’s beside a river and surrounded by beautiful nature.
