There’s a lovely river trail with lots of beautiful trees if you keep going along the path. At the waterfall, the left-hand route takes you down below it, where you can get into the water and swim a few laps. Head right at the start for two platforms above the falls. It’s an impressive sight.

We spotted at least six Tūī and plenty of other birds, along with lots of different native trees. The waterfall looks great from several angles, with three viewpoints above and one below. It’s an easy walk, and there are toilets and parking.

The viewing platforms have great views, and you can enjoy the gentle sound of the falling water for free. It’s only a short walk from the carpark, so older people can get there easily.

There are three viewing spots with amazing views of Rainbow Falls. The short track follows the riverbank and is easy to manage, wheelchair accessible, and well maintained. Picnic areas and toilets are nearby, which is handy for families. A beautiful walk and well worth a visit.

There’s a trail here that takes about 40 minutes to walk. It’s a lovely, relaxing place, and everything is well maintained so getting around is easy. A must-see when you’re in Kerikeri.
