Seeing the Southern Lights right outside the apartment was the highlight. The place was pretty and well kept, with its own parking space and a little pond outside. Lake Tekapo and plenty of places to eat are within walking distance. We loved staying here.

We especially liked the kitchen since we love cooking, and the apartment was really convenient. The staff were great and helped us look after our luggage, thanks so much. The area gets very dark at midnight, so I’d rather visit during the day.

The property looks brand new and is tidy and pleasant, but it felt quite small. The overall atmosphere reminded me of walking through a K-mart showroom. The furnishings, whiteware, cutlery, and other items seemed noticeably cheap. At $300 a night, I expected a higher standard.

There were bugs in the house even during the day, though the owners had told us not to open the doors or windows in the evening. The AC didn’t work either, and it felt suffocating. The house is new, but the furnishings are cheap, and the location is far away. There was no service provided. This felt like a rip-off.

We really enjoyed the ducks that came by for a visit. The accommodation was beautiful and made our stay magnificent.
