The Red Hut

We only had one night here, though the place had everything we’d need for a longer stay. It’s private, well equipped, and an easy walk into town. We really enjoyed the free round of golf with a golf cart, and the course had amazing views. The deck and outdoor bath were just right for spending time under the stars.

Such a sweet place to stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and there was a wood fire and a clean bathroom. We only wished the snow had been heavier so we could’ve stayed another night. I’m telling everyone I know about it, and can’t wait to return ❤️

A tidy, very clean little cabin close to Lake Tekapo’s town centre. We loved the wood stove and getting to soak in the outdoor bath while stargazing at night. The check-in staff also gave us really helpful recommendations.

The cottage was warm and cosy even with the temperature outside well below zero, and it had everything we needed, including a modern kitchen and bathroom. Sunlight came in all day. We could have breakfast outside and watch the amazing sunrise on one side, then catch the sunset from the other. It’s a short walk to the village and hot pools, and we much preferred it to a hotel. We stayed four days and would gladly have stayed longer.
