Mountainview Makarora Accommodation

I didn't stay the night. I arrived just as the first pies were coming out of the oven and being put into the pie warmer. The scenery around here is spectacular, and there's plenty to do even if hunting isn't your thing. Blue Pools and Davis Flat are beautiful, with walks to explore.

We only had one night here, and I really wish we could have stayed longer. Kenna was a great host and the view is beautiful. Down the hill, the bar, restaurant and visitor center were lovely. Kenna mentioned that they do a buffet every night. The food was good, the beer was cold, and the locals were nice.

The pub down the road had a nice, lively atmosphere, and our host was really friendly and happy to help. They even let us change our booking at the last minute. We loved the room too, especially the huge bed and the clean, powerful shower. I'd recommend staying here!

We'd happily stay here again when we're in the area. The views are beautiful, and the hosts were friendly and quick to respond. Having wifi was useful since there's no cell service around here. Our private room was separate from the main house, with on-site parking. It had a huge comfortable bed, a kitchenette with a fridge, jug, tea and coffee, plates and cutlery, plus an ensuite with a shower, basin and toilet. There weren't separate dishwashing facilities in the room, which might matter to some people, but it was fine for us.
