For Puffed Pedallers

The gardens and Paul’s art were lovely, and we especially enjoyed the homemade yoghurt and bottled peaches. There’s a real calm to the place, and we felt completely at home. Coralie and Paul are so warm that after meeting them once, they already felt like friends.

We had both rooms for our one-night stop while cycling the Great Taste Trail, and they were spacious with comfortable beds. Each opened onto the deck while still feeling private from the other, and the bathrooms had lovely, good showers. The gardens are beautiful and the location is nice. Paul kindly offered to drive us to the restaurants or collect us if needed. We avoided the rain, but appreciated the offer.

We loved this restful getaway. The beds were comfy, the rooms spacious, and it was quiet. Breakfast came with cereal and yoghurt, garden-grown stewed plums, and optional bread and spreads. Robes and other thoughtful touches made it feel welcoming. From here it’s a quick downhill walk to the wharf, Four Square, and the bike paths. Thanks for having us, Paul and Coralie.

The continental breakfast was just right, and they have a secure garage for bikes with power to recharge E-bikes. Paul and Coralie were a great team, and nothing felt like too much trouble. They even offered to drive us to the restaurants for dinner. We arrived soaked after riding from Nelson through heavy showers on Day 1 of the Great Taste Trail, and they quickly made tea and helped dry our gear. The bedroom and private large bathroom in the house were very comfortable, with every need considered. A lovely, restful B&B in a beautiful garden. We’d gladly recommend it.
