The Matarangi B & B

We enjoyed three gorgeous sunsets from the deck, with amazing views. The room was beautiful, and the bathroom was a real wow. Jo and Tony were wonderful hosts, making us feel welcome from the beginning and throughout our three-night stay. Highly recommend it for some peace and quiet. Thanks, Jo and Tony. We'll definitely be back later this year!

We only stayed one night and wish we'd booked longer. From the bedroom and private deck there are water views, and a short walk over the lawn takes you to the beach and a boardwalk past the beach and golf course. It's absolute beachfront, and you can hear the waves as you drift off in the comfortable king bed. Waking up to that view is magic. The new room was immaculate and had everything, including a fridge, tea and coffee facilities, and a smart TV. Breakfast was included, with a range of choices. We picked croissants with bacon, egg, cheese and parsley aioli, which were delicious and beautifully presented. The luxurious room was spacious, with lovely quality linen and a private deck for a quiet drink and sunset. The shower was huge, easily big enough for two, with great pressure and plush towels. Jo and Tony were friendly and accommodating. Jo was warm and ready to help with requests, while Tony knows a lot about golf. The Bob Charles design course, The Dunes, is a three-minute walk away, and they can also provide a souped-up golf cart. We highly recommend staying here. We spent one night at Jo and Tony's fairly new B&B. The room felt luxurious, with a very spacious bathroom, a terrace for relaxing and an incredible view from the bedroom. Service was excellent from the booking messages and warm arrival greeting to the delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

The hosts were lovely to talk with, and the location worked well for getting between Coromandel and Whitianga. My room was quiet and clean, with plenty of space, including a roomy bathroom. I also had a beautiful view of the beach from the room. I’d happily recommend staying here for a holiday.
