Lake Brunner Country Motel & Holiday Park

The owner was lovely and suggested nearby places to visit and eat. It's really out of the way, which we liked, but there are only a couple of restaurant choices about 15 minutes away and no large grocery store nearby, so I'd bring food to save money. The cheapest rooms are very basic, unlike the cabins, though they're worth the price. The cabins looked much more like the kind of getaway you'd expect. The shared showers and toilets aren't gender specific, and the heater runs on a 15-minute timer, so dress warmly if you're here in winter. Good for fishing trips or backpackers.

The fire pit made our weekend camping trip at Lake Brunner holiday park extra relaxing, and we spotted glow worms there too. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were neat, tidy, and clean. We'll definitely visit again.

We only stayed one night and wished it had been longer. The place was quiet, beautiful, well managed, and super clean. There was much more on site than I'd expected: a kids' playground, mini golf, a fireplace, campervan and tent sites, barbecues, glowworms, and more. The owners, or managers, were very friendly. Highly recommend it.

Tucked among the trees, this is a little gem. The cottages are spacious, clean, and far enough apart to give you privacy. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and there was plenty to keep the kids occupied. Fire pits were a nice bonus, as were the scattered barbecues, which help keep groups spread out. It would be good if smoking weren't allowed around the playground and kids.
