ASURE Fairley Motor Lodge

We fitted 12 of us into two rooms at a really affordable rate, and the two stovetops and basic kitchen supplies made it easy to cook and save money. The rooms were very clean, and the location between West shore beach, which is safe for swimming, and pandora pond is fantastic. My family first stayed for 4-5 days in January and enjoyed it enough to bring more family along in February. We did have one difficult experience with another guest, but Suhk and the team were fair about what they asked of us and still let us enjoy our stay. Couldn’t recommend the place more.

The room was comfortable and nicely presented, and we’d happily stay again, though probably in a different room. Room #4 had a persistent buzzing and vibrating sound in the wall from about 3:30 am, and it kept us awake for the rest of the night. Inside, the kitchen was well stocked with coffee, decaf, tea, sugar and sweetener, though it was missing scissors. A few plates still had food specks on them. The bathroom was tidy and smelled lovely, with decorated vanities, toiletries, a very clean shower curtain and fresh white towels. There was a little mould around the tub jets. The couch was comfortable for one person, but too soft for two. We liked having a TV in both the lounge and bedroom, with Netflix and Prime Tv, and the clean, well-covered windows helped us sleep. Outside the front door could use some care: old crumbled leaves on the mat and a bench that looks ready for a fresh coat of paint. All in all, 4/5 stars. Thanks for having us! Will & Bex

The rooms were spotless, with fresh, crisp linen, and the housekeeping team clearly puts in a lot of effort. The owners were warm and humble, greeting us themselves and making sure we were comfortable throughout our two nights at Fairley Motor Lodge. It’s a peaceful area for a good night’s sleep after a day out, while the beach is a short walk away and the main attractions are close too. A clean, quiet and friendly place to stay in Napier.

Our family of five found this place really affordable, and it’s close to the beach. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms look freshly refurbished and painted, and the work seems to have been done with care. Dog friendly too!
