The Nautilus Napier

The bathroom was okay, and the sofa bed was comfortable, but it still felt kind of gross. The sheets seemed clean, at least. The hotel is old and rotting, honestly, with peeling wallpaper and dated, disgusting furniture. The only redeeming thing was the excellent Indian/continental place downstairs and around the corner. The room doesn’t really justify the price, though the location makes it okay.

Housekeeping was impeccable, and the view was great. You can walk to all the amenities from here. I’d also suggest Kohinoor Continental for both breakfast and dinner. The ribs are among the best I’ve eaten.

The room was right by the beach, and the location was perfect. Having the spa pool right in the middle of my room was pretty odd, lol, but I loved it. The restaurant is just downstairs. A great first time in Napier x

The beds were comfy, and it’s well located for town, with a nice restaurant below the motel. But the room felt tired, with paint coming off the walls and cracked tiles. The shower pressure was poor, and water leaked underneath and all over the floor. There was a lot of traffic noise outside, since the windows aren’t double glazed. It was expensive to stay over Labour's weekend.
