We stayed in the garden rooms, with a quaint sitting room and a lovely bedroom and en-suite across a private deck. Everything had been thought through. The leafy inner-city residential spot behind the cathedral is perfect, and from the deck you can see the spire and hear the bells. Restaurants and the city are a short walk away. Mark and Johns were friendly and helpful, and the hospitality was great. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of options, served either in the room or in the main houses dining room. Ah house deserves its awards. If you're visiting Nelson, do yourselves a favour and stay here.
Tucked into a quiet street right in the heart of Nelson, this place feels like an oasis. The garden room was cosy and private, and the property was spotless and comfortable. Mark & John have thought of every detail, and the rooms are a delight to look around, with art and vintage touches. Breakfast was delicious, from homemade granola and bread to freshly cooked choices made to your tastes. You can reach the city centre in just a few minutes. I'd highly recommend it for a warm, welcoming stay.
The decor was fun and funky, with comfort and class throughout. It was an easy drive from the airport and an easy walk into central Nelson, with great restaurants and the local bus station there. Wish I could've stayed longer.
We enjoyed our stay so much we'd love to come back. Mark and John were fantastic hosts, from check-in to sharing local knowledge and serving an awesome breakfast. Thanks for recommending the mussels at Havelock. Jill was hanging on with white knuckles on the scenic route to Picton!
