We didn’t rent a car and got around easily on foot and by public transport. The bus line, grocery store and town centre are close, and the bus dropped us a few blocks from the hotel. The hosts were so kind and helpful. We stayed before and after our backcountry trip, and they kept our luggage for the three days we were away, then had it waiting in our room when we returned. Thank you, it was a great hotel!

There were seven of us on a mountain bike trip, and Max and Robyn took great care of us and our gear. Max shared plenty of recommendations and even gave us a special treat for the big trip. They go above and beyond, and it made a real difference. We stayed twice, in two different rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, and were happy with both. The rooms were comfortable, and it was an easy walk to food and groceries. They were both so friendly and helpful, which made the trip easy and great. I loved that they had a dark face washer or flannel for anyone using makeup, instead of only white ones. Highly recommend. Thanks, Max and Robyn. Looking forward to seeing you next time we’re back in Nelson.

The owners were welcoming and professional, and made us feel at home. The accommodation was lovely, very clean, and had exceptionally comfortable beds. It’s an easy walk into town. I’d happily stay again.

We stayed in studio unit 104, with a car park right in front of the door and easy ground level access. It smelled fresh and was exceptionally clean. The refillable toiletries bottles are a great sustainable, eco-friendly touch. You can walk to the town centre, and Maccas is even closer. Although it’s on the main street, we didn’t hear noise, even on weekend nights. I hope the whole motel becomes smoke free and vape free in the near future. Well done, palazzo. See you again soon.

Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, spotless and tastefully decorated, and we loved staying there. It’s also very close to the town centre, in a perfect spot. Robyn was a wonderful host, always ready to help and never making anything feel like too much trouble. Thank you for making our Nelson stay so good!
